Bunker works were carried out across six holes by the architects who recently guided the work at Royal Portrush, while the green at the 10th hole was shifted so it can be viewed from the tee box.
The course, which sits just 25 miles from the border between Scotland and England, are not resting on their laurels and has announced further works to the course.
More bunker rejuvenations are set to take place during the winter period while a completely new hole is being designed and built. The greens team are also working on the greens to increase the speed, increase the size and improve the fringes.
