Parkies Pals Find Home

SHRIVENHAM PARK’S putting club has now become a social hub for Parkies Pals, a local group supported by Parkinson’s UK.

The group now use the club for social gatherings and as a hub for monthly meetings. Carole Lee, a committee member at Shrivenham Park, said: “I met with one of my friends on a church walk who said she had a friend who wanted to know more about the social putting at Shrivenham. I met the lady who runs the local group of Parkinson’s UK called Parkies Pals. They started coming along last summer and the result has been amazing.”

The group recently raised £235 for charity through an event at Shrivenham Park, and they have adopted the club as their base for monthly meetings.
