Troia revolutionises with all-new tech 

Tee times can be booked in under 20 seconds with all-new system 

Portugal’s Troia golf course has installed a new software named Golf Manager at the club, transforming its online booking and administration processes. 

The Golf Manager software has allowed the course to revolutionise the visibility and control that it has over its facilities and operate more efficiently, including the streamlining of the online booking process which has now become a crucial part of the business cycle following the COVID-19 lockdown. 

The new system has also simplified and modernised other aspects of the club’s operation, including the tee sheet, CRM (customer relationship management system) and membership administration. 

Not only has the software made a big impact internally – with an intuitive interface and wide range of reports and tools now available to staff at the click of a button – but the customer journey is now quicker and less complicated, making it easier than ever for golfers to enjoy one of Europe’s best courses. 

The new cloud-based software, which can be accessed by players and members of staff from anywhere in the world, allows tee times to be booked in under 20 seconds, sending automated confirmation emails and filling the tee sheet automatically, removing the hassle for both club management and customer. 

“We have been waiting for software like this in Portugal for a long time, with compliance from the Portuguese authorities,” said Alexandre Barroso, Troia’s golf director. 

“This is the tool we needed to adapt to the new reality and has already boosted productivity among the team. Being able to manage all of our operations from one platform, from any device, and seeing the bookings in real time, as well as valuable data and statistics, has given us everything we need to work efficiently. It has all the reports we can dream of and is unbelievably easy to use. 

“We have already had excellent feedback from visitors and members on the new sleek process and we are confident that it will have a positive impact on business levels as golfers find it quicker and more straightforward to book a round at Troia, which will hopefully encourage them back for more.”
