McGinty has been named as part of a four-strong squad for the 2020 season comprising golfers currently studying at colleges in America.
Annabell Fuller, Amelia Williamson and Hannah Screen are also included in the set-up – Fuller and Williamson both studying at colleges in Florida with Screen on campus in Oklahoma. McGinty has been braving sub-zero temperatures while she combines studying Sports Administration at Kent State University in Ohio with her golf.
But the 19-year-old Gloucestershire county player is loving life across the pond.
“Right now the temperature outside is -11 degrees,” said McGinty.
“But we have great indoor facilities here, where I can really work on my game. Anything I want to practise, I can do on our campus.
“There’s a range, short game areas, SAM putting lab, all the Trackman equipment. It will be nice to get back home this summer to play some events and hopefully get to represent England. It’s always special wearing that England crest.”
